WE ARE MOSTLY ASSHOLES

No offense, I'm just saying it the way I see it.

I said it before knowing what it was I said.  Its mostly a human attribute. We are mostly assholes.

We take advantage of trust, friendship and compassion to further our gains. And when that ends, we have no need for them any longer.

We heard stories! Africans used to live a communal life. We cared about each other, people mattered. Not just by their usefulness or what they have to offer but the mere fact of being human.

You finish school and you promptly forget the steadfast friends you made. You leave a workplace and you couldn't care less about your former co-workers.

You know the world is a rotten place when you have to watch every word you say to a friend because you don't trust them. Its not about the cash you make, its not the connections, it's not about monetary value because in the real sense, your true friendships are your wealth, those who would stand by you unflinchingly.

I'm definitely not better than anybody and I probably referred to my self somewhere there;but really?
Its about that time we started making the world a better place.

THE LAGOS OF MAD PEOPLE

The air is rarely clean. The poisonous stew from the very efficient exhaust fumes from vehicles, dust, sweat and vivid curses thrown by the drivers, burns at the back of my throat. Making me want to throw up.

And yet we find it refreshing; exciting even.
The rush and the madness on the road are succour to the real Lagosian's heart.
Mu changi e wole o!

Well if you have a penchant for trouble I  suggest you board a 50 naira bus with 1000 naira note. You are guaranteed to get an ear full. Not only for you but for every member of your family.

It doesn't always get physical, but at times you might get lucky and see a live performance with blood, spit, sweat and curses spurting everywhere.

Sigh, where shall I begin? Lagos where people price gala in traffic jam and pure water for 3 10naira. Or the Lagos when during Christmas people hawk live hens in traffic jams?

My sweet Lagos where passengers encourage the driver to  pass BRT lanes and give the LASTMA guys a good run. Most times in vain of course.

Or the Lagos where civil servants work like they are doing your entire generation a favour.

Or the Lagos where public gardens are under lock and key?
She is a city of madness!

Yes , Lagosians see traffic and relax with gala, la casera and their ear piece firmly in their ears.
Or the Lagos where you get hot food to buy in the middle of the night?

The madness is a rush to the bloodstream, the insults a reason to laugh or scowl in some cases, the scrambling to board bus a competition and when you get a seat? You are the champ!
A Lagos where our governor dances shoki.
I am proud of being, living and breathing the air in Lagos.
Eko oni baje o!

ARE YOU CHEATING? OR ARE YOU BEING CHEATED?

HEY PEEPLEE!
I know, I know its been a while. Honestly, it takes a lot of determination to keep the postings active so if you'd recommend articles on determination ....

Anyway anyway, so years back or months back really, data users were always saying cheat cheat, NTN cheat, Flo cheat even Memtel cheats!

I'm not saying I used them, and i'm not saying i didn't, but honestly are we cheating? because the burn rate is suicide!

I mean I cant afford to download apps on play store, i'm scared of downloading music to check pictures maself is another issue entirely, and the most annoying is that it doesn't last up to a month!.
Fellow brethren desist from cheating because in actual fact, you are the cheated.

Welcome to 2015!!!

NANS, association of students or touts?

"You cant avoid that, it is NANS convention"

It is not confirmed yet, but reports are coming in that the ongoing NANS convention is turning rowdy and violent; and somebody's comment was my opening statement.

Weeks ago it was an award to Governor Babatunde Fashola.

I honestly cannot put my finger on whose interests you are protecting. If you want a political party why not establish one?

But to use the names of students to perpetrate your shameless acts is a disgrace to all Nigerian students.

To say i am disappointed is an understatement. NANS convention for God's sakes! is it a do or die affair? Are you being handed the key to heaven?

Let us not forget, that these so called student leaders are the ones that will come tomorrow seeking mantle of leadership. Nigeria whether knowingly or unknowingly has bred future Goodluck Jonathans and I sincerely fear for the future of this country.

A call to the self acclaimed youth leaders. If you cannot behave like the future leaders you are supposed to be, if shaming the names of all Nigerian students are what you are after, If violence is the next thing then i suggest you form a party and stop hiding under the guise of our distinguished names.

Thank You
From a frustrated Nigerian Student.

EBOLA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THE GUYS?

I do not intend to look for trouble with this post, so please do not take offence.

He’s cute, flouncy in his steps and a bit arrogant.
